2010 Informatics for Phylogenetics, Evolution, and Biodiversity (iEvoBio 2010)

Oregon Convention Center

June 29, 2010 – June 30, 2010

iEvoBio is being held jointly with the Evolution Meetings, with the aim of providing a forum that brings together biologists working in evolution, systematics, and biodiversity, with software developers, and mathematicians, both to catalyse the development of new tools, and to increase awareness of the possibilities offered by existing technologies (from reusable software to mega-scale data analysis to rich visualization). The meeting features contributed talks and two keynote presentations, as well as more dynamic elements, including a challenge, lightning talk-style sessions, a software bazaar, and Birds-of-a-Feather gatherings. iEvoBio is supported by the US National Evolutionary Synthesis Center (NESCent), and the Society of Systematic Biologists (SSB).
