Abstract

Software: Biodiverse, a tool for spatial analysis of biological diversity

Details:

Biodiverse links phylogenies to species location data, and enables users to visually explore phylogenetic and spatial relationships using a split-screen tree-map format. Its functions include:

(1) visualisation of data distributions in geographic, taxonomic, phylogenetic and matrix spaces;

(2) spatial analyses including phylogenetic diversity, phylogenetic endemism and phylogenetic beta diversity;

(3) spatially constrained cluster analyses; and

(4) randomisations for hypothesis testing.
